Over a century of History (1890 - 2010)
Badia
"A quiet place with many lovers between Rome, Sydney and Berlin, for having a mountain called "Croce" that gives a warm abrace in the late afternoon as it gets touched from the sun rays!"Luciano C.
The story of the "Posta" inn begins in 1890.The owners were Pire Zingerle and his wife Elena Dasser. Pire Zingerle was a baker, postman and hotel-keeper. In fact, at the beginning of the century, the hotel "Posta" was also a bakery and post-office.
In 1918 the hotel "Posta" was taken over by Zingerle's daughter Maria and in 1934 sold to Giovanni Pescoller and Anna Oberhammer .
Giovanni Pescoller has been married twice, the second time with Lena Deiaco, which passed over the "Posta" in 1975 to her nephew, and actual owner, Eduard Tavella.
We're in 2010 and the hotel "Posta" is over a century old, during which time it has been remodeled and modernized many times. |
